Foremans accredited to government CSE standard

Foremans Relocatable Building Systems has achieved accreditation to the Government standard for Customer Service Excellence (CSE). This independent accreditation follows a detailed assessment

of Foremans’ full range of modular building services and its processes for measuring customer satisfaction. Mike Williams, managing director of Foremans, said:

“We believe we are the first supplier of refurbished and recycled modular buildings to achieve this widely recognised accreditation – and that it sets us apart from other suppliers in this sector. It demonstrates our unrivalled commitment to customer-focused delivery and to genuinely engaging with our customers at every stage of the process – from initial enquiry to the handover and commissioning of each building. “As an industry, the construction sector is too often fraught

with delays, budget overruns and substandard quality. Our approach is to deliver refurbished modular buildings of the very highest standards, backed up with our commitment to customer service excellence and even faster lead times.”

W: www.foremansbuildings.info Bespoke nautical bed is a boarding school hit

A bespoke cabin bed has proved a real hit at the New Hall School in Chelmsford. The school had been looking for a cabin type bed for early boarders but was unable to find anything off the shelf. Space was at a premium so the

school were also looking to provide a large desk, pull out wardrobe, book case and a notice board. With year 3 to year 7 pupils to be accommodated, it was essential that the bed was robust enough to take the sort of punishment that young boys can hand out. The school had also decided on

a nautical theme that was to be extended throughout the decor of the dormitories. The manufacturer Strata Panels UK was therefore set a challenge: design a bespoke cabin bed with as many space- saving features as possible, all complete with a nautical theme. The school is delighted with the

25 finished beds that have been manufactured from a durable 18mm MDF with an oak finish. Aluminium portholes were designed into the unit, with further aluminium trim to the steps. Additional features include a

mirror, night light, personal storage area and an electrical supply. The stairs double up as cupboards, phones can be charged at the desk and books read after lights out without disturbing other pupils. Housekeeper

for the school, Pat Amos, commented that in all the years she has been looking after first time boarders this was the quickest she has seen them settle into school life. Both the parents and the children love the new furniture which enables the pupils to feel more like they have their own room. Strata Panels UK had several

obstacles to overcome during the installation including three flights of stairs and uneven floors within the historical building that once served as a Tudor Palace.
