JB Instruments UK Ltd announces the launch of the first few products in its low cost IEPE industrial accelerometer range that will be expanded throughout 2014. The A/140, A/140/S and A/140/C includes a top and side entry 2 pin Mil-C-5015 connector version in addition to an integral stainless steel overbraided cable version. Available immediately these accelerometers have been on sale for some months having successfully been installed at a number of customer sites in Europe. All manufactured from rugged stainless steel welded construction they are well suited to applications such as:


• Wind turbines • Steel mills • Oil pipelines • High speed trains • Machine monitoring • Safety monitoring • Bearing analysis


The A/140 with 2 pin connector weighs just


81grams, has a standard sensitivity of 100mV/g (other sensitivities are available) and is supplied with a ¼-28UNF mounting stud. Cable assemblies manufactured from stainless steel overbraided cable are available to order alongside the accelerometers.

BB has developed a standalone, self-powered temperature transmitter with WirelessHART™, offering a cost effective and maintenance-free alternative to wired or battery-powered devices. Wireless instruments offer the ideal solution wherever it may be costly or impractical to run cabling. Battery-powered WirelessHART technology allows for quick and simple instrument installation to allow operators to monitor new process information to improve plant visibility. However, the battery will eventually need replacing, incurring time and cost. Battery life can be prolonged but only by slowing down the data transfer rate, affecting the instrument’s response time. These challenges are overcome by ABB’s self-powered temperature transmitter. Featuring a built-in thermoelectric generator (TEG), the device uses the Seebeck Effect to harvest electrical energy from thermal energy. The temperature difference between the ambient and the pipe temperature produces a voltage difference, which is then used to power the device.

Tempmaster PRO LABORATORY STANDARD, PRECISION DIGITAL THERMOMETER / LOGGER for Pt100 SENSORS temperature readout is “corrected” accordingly.


The Tempmaster PRO from Labfacility provides very high precision temperature measurement with Pt100 sensors. Data can be displayed


in oC,oF, K or Ω as required. There are two input ports for 3 or 4 wire Pt100 sensors. The measured temperature can be displayed directly from one of the inputs or differentially between the two inputs.
