IN ASSOCIATION WITH...

THe TeCHNOlOgy ANd CONSTruCTION SOlICITOrS' ASSOCIATION

This month Lawyer Monthly takes a look at the work of the Technology and Construction Solicitors Association (TeCSA).

In an ever-changing and fast-paced environment such as the Technology and Construction industries, sound legal knowledge and guidance is essential. Keeping up with legislative change can be tricky, but with the right team behind you, it is a little less daunting.

TeCSA is the leading organisation for solicitors practising construction and information technology law in England and Wales. According to the Association’s website, ‘those who practise in the TCC deal with technical cases, for example cases involving all aspects of the built environment, including technical defects claims and claims for

money and extensions of time. We also deal with negligence and nuisance cases’.

TeCSA also plays a role in shaping Court practice and legislation with regards to dispute resolution. It also strives to encourage best practice in dispute resolution on all levels.

The Chairman of TeCSA is Simon Tolson, and as part of our focus on the work of this Association and some of its member firms, Lawyer Monthly speaks exclusively to him over the next few pages. Here Simon discusses with us what he enjoys about his role at TeCSA and the key issues he is currently focusing on.
