turbine pumps which are an ideal solution for low- flow / high-head applications where zero leakage is required. Available in a wide range of wetted materials the M Pumps range is designed to handle liquids containing up to 20% entrained gas, as well as thin, non-lubricating liquids, or for pumping small flows at high differential pressures. The pumps can handle capacities up to 13m3 /hour at differential heads up to 164 metres for single stage designs and up to 500 metres for multistage pumps. Low NPSH versions are also available for refrigeration / cooling applications, or for pumping boiling liquids or high vapour pressure liquids, with an NPSHR down to 0.5 metres. The metallic designs provide high system pressure capability, 25 Bar on the standard T Mag M metallic series, 150 Bar for high system pressure versions of the T Mag M series and up to 1500 Bar for the T Mag XPM designs.

UK’s leading food manufacturers in talks with the company about the benefits of its dynamic resealing tape.


Working closely with packaging and


procurement specialists, the tesacohesion team, with its all-embracing approach to customer service and process improvement, has developed an efficient in-line application called Lift & Reseal, which is already being used by one of the country’s foremost suppliers of snacking products.


In this example, the in-line application


delivers a line of tape running from top to bottom of healthy nut and fruit snack packs, giving consumers the ability to reseal the pack for the lifetime of its contents, with approximately 20 effective resealing actions.

conditioning in most industrial buildings providing 90% energy savings at a fraction of the capital cost of a traditional air conditioning or ventilation system. A carefully sized ventilation system is designed to maintain a constant flow


of fresh air into the building. During warm periods evaporative cooling is used to cool the air before it enters the building. A simple system of just one unit can provide up to 30kW of cooling from just


1kW of electricity and can cover an area of 250sqm or a 15m diameter circle in a typical manufacturing or logistics operation. EcoCooling evaporative coolers offer many Advantages over traditional Systems They are safe, cost effective and require only simple maintenance. Their low power usage has little impact on the site maximum demand and can release power availability if it is used to replace refrigeration. Advanced control systems connect to any existing BMS system and can manage the environment and utilise heat recovery to provide heat in the winter months whilst providing a fresh clean environment all year round. There are no refrigerants and the installation cost can be up to a quarter of the cost of traditional systems. Installation in most cases is quick and entails minimum, if any, disruption to production. EcoCoolers can also provide air flow through the side or top, allowing installation to be flexible and cheaper when roof penetration is not an option.

Legionnaires disease and evaporative coolers EcoCooling evaporative coolers are at the very lowest level of legionella risk and exceed the requirements of UK HSE regulations and controls. The use of wetted media instead of sprays avoids droplets, and since the water circulates at the wet bulb temperature of the air, evaporative cooler water never enters conditions for legionella growth. Other simple process controls such as automatic drainage contribute to a risk level comparable with a standard hot or cold water distribution system. Simple maintenance performed every 6 months maintains hygienic and safe operation.
