INNOVATIVE PLANTING FOR BETTER CROP YIELD
T
he new planter unveiled this year by Kinze Manufac- turing, Williamsburg, Iowa, boasts several innovative new features, including a brand new row unit with a cast ductile iron design. The new design answers the need for a stronger, more durable, cost-efficient unit responsible for distributing seeds in the field. Con- verting the row unit from a steel fabrication to a cast
ductile iron design reduced the part count from 30 stamped steel parts to six castings and provided more stability and dimensional accuracy.
