In association with EVERY BUYER l EVERY BRANCH l EVERY WEEK GAMESCOM 2013 – DAY 3 August 23rd 2013 ‘Com the revolution Consumer hordes hit Koelnmesse, ushering in the busiest and most important Q4 and Christmas for games yet by Michael French
THE CORE games market has had its worst time ever this year.
But you wouldn’t know it going by the massive crowds at Gamescom. The biggest Cologne games expo yet opened its doors to the public yesterday, with attending masses signalling renewed excitement for consoles and PC titles – and hopefully better consumer spending. Thousands of fans flocked to see the latest games, a good antidote to a tough year of slow movement in the market. Organiser Koelnmesse said that nearly 300,000 were expected to attend throughout the event’s four-day run for consumers.
