t has been my pleasure getting to


know Gabriel and Sandra


Couroux. Gabriel, though a hard- nosed veteran, has a soſt spot not only for his wife but for his


plants. Better yet, his passion is for col- orful plants, so we get along perfectly! Sandra, an intuitive gardening mind in her own right, shares Gabriel’s love for plants. Nineteen years ago they moved into their Harris County home with the vision that it would be their place for retirement. Sitting on nearly five acres, this has provided not only a wonderful retirement home, but a beautiful garden retreat for the couple to enjoy. Immediately upon driving up to the


Couroux home, one is greeted with both flower and foliage color in beautiful combinations. Along the front border by the street is a planting of red encore azaleas alternated with goldmound spi- raea and a backdrop of burgundy lorop- etalum. Stunning specimen plantings of
