PSU Jump Starts Center of Excellence Pittsburg State University (PSU),
Pittsburg, Kan., kicked off its Center of Excellence in Metal Casting (CEMC) with a 25-ton wax injec- tor. MPI Inc., Poughkeepsie, N.Y., donated the machine, installed in the metalcasting lab at the Kansas Technology Center.

US Castings Earns Truck Part Quality Recognition
Truck manufacturer PACCAR,
Bellevue, Wash., recognized US Castings LLC, Entiat, Wash., for meeting the supplier’s expectation that its parts and components achieve 50 parts per million (PPM) or better quality in 2012. Aluminum casting specialist US Castings is a member company of the Advanced Metals Group LLC, which also includes Ohio-based Ross Alumi- num Castings and Mabry Castings, a ductile and gray iron casting facility in Beaumont, Texas.
