We asked partners of law firms, clients and in-house counsel from national and international private and public institutions based inside and outside Africa for their recommendations of individual practitioners that have impressed in energy and infrastructure work in Sub-Saharan African. Of the partners listed below a number have broad practices covering many disciplines but we have only indi- cated the specific areas for which they were recommended. Interviewees recom- mended lawyers for their significant experience of one or a number of countries and regions in Sub-Saharan Africa in the disciplines checked. The majority of partners listed indicated that over 50% of their practice was dedicated to Sub- Saharan matters. All the lawyers listed below primarily practice UK, French or US law, although some are dual qualified in Sub-Saharan jurisdictions.
