John Kane had already transitioned from the military to civilian life by the time he came to MOAA for career assistance. After 10 years of a civilian career, he was ready for the next step and wanted to brush up his résumé.


“I expected a 15-minute talk, and I got a full hour going over my résumé with a fine-tooth comb,” he says. “It was phenomenal.” Within days he landed a job.


“It’s easy to put your résumé in black and white, but MOAA helps you put it in living color, and that helps you make your mark,” he says. “There are millions of people looking for thousands of jobs. You have to set yourself apart.”
