IrishBeauty Show Review, Part 1

Record crowds gather at Ireland’sNo.1 beauty trade show

This March, almost 10,500 beauty professional gathered in Dublin to celebrate this year’s Irish Beauty Show! This was the highest ever attendance at a beauty trade show in Ireland, cementing the show – organised by Irish Beauty magazine and AIT - as the industry’s biggest and best event.

Taking place on Sunday 3rd and Monday 4th March at the RDS Simmonscourt, the event showcased Spring / Summer launches, treatment innovations, training opportunities and product demonstrations.

Throughout the two-day show, salon owners, therapists and nail technicians travelled from across Ireland, and on the Monday several colleges took advantage of free transport, courtesy of AIT, to ensure their students didn’t miss this great opportunity. “It certainly makes the process of accessing the show pain-free and relaxed for all concerned. Congratulations on a great show,” commented Sue Macken of the Drogheda Institute of Further Education.

Exhibitor feedback has been just as enthusiastic. “Hennessy Hair & Beauty had a very successful year once again and we seem to be going from strength to strength, year on year! We presented our Rica Wax brand this year as well as OPI and it was very popular and proved to be a great choice with the customers. We look forward to returning next year

with some great surprises under our sleeves,” said Michelle McCarthy of Hennessy Hair & Beauty.

Jane Davies of Glitter Body Art Ltd was also thrilled with the show. “Fabulous show at the Irish Beauty Show; very busy and nice to see old and new customers. We will definitely be attending next year again. Thank you to all the team at Irish Beauty!” she said.

“[It was] a busy and vibrant show, plenty of visitors to the VTCT stand keen to become VTCT centres,” said Runa McNamara, VTCT Head of Centre Training.

“Our team we were busy from start to finish on the Sunday and had our best day ever with record sales,” commented Noiren Carrigg and Conor Brady, Directors of Carrigg Brady Beauty and Wax Logic. “We spent both days selling and explaining why our wax range is unique and how it is the future of waxing.”

Noireen continued: “We had our expectations exceeded with the sales and the layout of the show, it is the first show we have done in several years and what a show to launch Wax Logic at. As a company, Carrigg Brady Beauty will be counting the days until the next Irish Beauty Show!”

There were also lots of other new products launching for the first time in Ireland. Damien Stawinoga of Salarium told IB: “The event went very well.

We’ve gained a lot of new contacts within the industry and we are very proud of our customers’ feedback about our products. It was generally a great experience as this was our first show in Ireland.”

“Our first year at the show was an

amazing success thanks to our ‘Hero’ foundation brushes. We can't wait for the next show. Bring it on!” said Mark of Ciara Daly Make-up.

There was also an abundance of Irish products on show, including seaweed Spa range Voya. “It’s great to see so many Irish brands thriving in the beauty industry and know that the Spa industry is still growing and improving,” said the brand’s managing director Mark Walton.

“It was lovely to meet some of our partners at the show and also nice to meet some new faces. The Irish Beauty Show is a great opportunity for Irish brands like us to network with people in the beauty industry,” added Voya Sales Manager Katherine Durcan.
