Becky was thrilled to report, “Our girls all got along so nicely, and the parents actually got to hang out and talk.” Back in July, Becky, Sherie, Amy Muni chiello, Linda Schneiderman Humph rey, and Shannon Small Dunn spent a fun girls weekend on Cape Cod. “It was so great to be back together, living in one house for the weekend,” she said. “Just like college again—except this time we all had chil- dren to check in on!” Operatic soprano, voice instructor, and vocal coach Sylvia Stoner performed on campus in November. Many of us were shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden death of Rodney Pink on March 3.Wendy Wilson ’96, who met Rodney when she was a fresh- man, shared this tribute: “Rodney encour- aged me to get involved with residential life and hired me to work on his staff at Wait Hall when he became head resident. Two years later I was head resident of Wait Hall, and during my most trying times I would say to myself, “What would Rodney do?” He was a mentor, a friend, and my ‘big brother.’ We lost touch over the years, but reconnected in January to celebrate his 40th birthday. We laughed, toasted, and celebrated his life.”

Many other classmates also sent remem- brances of Rodney. Chanel Greene recalls, “To hear him laugh made you laugh, and to see him dance made you want to dance until you couldn’t move anymore. He had so many jobs—it made you want to work harder to achieve your goals. I feel truly blessed for having known him.” Claude Brodesser says, “Rodney’s trademark basso-profundo guffaw was as genuine as it was infectious…and made you forget whatever you were worrying about.” Anne Yedvabny Grieves remembers that Rod - ney was “full of life, warmth, and joy. We spent many nights giggling, analyzing people, and talking about life. I’m so thankful to have had those moments with him.” John “Bones” Rodriguez describes Rodney as “a wonderfully enthusiastic spirit,” and Lynette Johnson ’95 adds, “He was a bright light to all who knew him.” Accord ing to close friend Philip
