She enjoys dancing every- thing from modern to jitterbug and re - cently added Latin to her repertoire. Leah’s son Tom and his wife, Ellen, live in Ft. Washington, PA. Grandsons Austin Jr. and Harry both attend Tufts University. The boys, who swam in the Hall of Fame Pool Competition in Fort Lauderdale every January, are now members of the Tufts swim team. Last summer the couple enjoyed abundant tomatoes and “the best eggplant ever” from their garden. Mary Lou exercises at the gym weekly and is thankful that she and Bud, at 85 and 90, are faring better than many peers in terms of health. They will cele- brate their 10th anniversary this year. Betti Detrick Williams, who recently moved to a smaller house in Northwood, NH, reminisces about the great times we had at Skidmore. She paints and shows her art in about 10 exhibitions each year. One of her sons lives 15 minutes away and teaches pottery at the University of New Hampshire. Joan Fredericks Whetstone spent last summer in Washington State and Utah, where she enjoyed visiting Kolob Canyon. Husband Stan’s 87th birthday was the highlight of the year.

I was not affected by Superstorm Sandy except for four days of the electricity go - ing on and off. Now I am thankful that the parks department took the Cedar Grove cottages where I spent every sum- mer until 2010. I retrieved the contents from my cottage back then; the people still living there lost everything. I am doing well. I take my usual 20-minute walk before breakfast five days a week. For a peek at my family’s holiday, search YouTube for “Holtermanns Christmas 2012,” a video recorded by my son Dean.
