I ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO MID-APRIL. Not only does the winter chill begin to lift, it is also time for the Center for Railroad Photog- raphy & Art’s annual “Conversations about Photography,” hosted on the campus of Lake Forest College in suburban Lake Forest, Ill. Matt Kierstead showed the art and prose of Michael Flanagan in his discussion of the book Stations at the Center For Railroad Photography & Art’s annual Conversations About Photography on April 13, 2013 (top). Michael Froio prepares for his presentation “From the Mainline” as CRPA executive director Scott Lothes works the laptop and master of ceremionies Jeff Brouws looks on (above). Brian Schmidt, associate editor of Trains, gets a book signed by one of the finest photographers in America, David Plowden, as Brian’s boss Jim Wrinn, editor of Trains, awaits his turn (opposite).
