ive new faces joined the U.S. Women’s National Sitting Volleyball Team for a fi ve-match exhbition series against Canada March 8-10 at the Denver Convention Center. The fi ve new players who weren’t on the 2012 U.S. Paralympic


Women’s Sitrting Volleyball roster — Nicole Nieves (Kissimmee, Fla.), Alexis Shiffl ett (Waseca, Minn.), Cali Overcast (Colorado Springs, Colo.), Bethany Zummo (Dublin, Calif.) and Angela DeHaan (Yuba City, Calif.) — took the fi rst step toward making the 2016 Para- lympic Games in Rio De Janiero, Brazil.


The new players joined forces with veterans Kari Miller (Washing- ton, D.C.), Heather Erickson (Fayetteville, N.C.), Kendra Lancaster (Westfi eld, Ind.) and Kaleo Kanahele (Oklahoma City, Okla.) to sweep Canada in the series.
