100 years of awe... 2014 marks a century gone by since the Panama Canal opened an interoceanic route, a feat that put Panama center stage on the map of global trade. But then again, it’s always been at the center of two continents: a tropical paradise of crystal rivers, turquoise seas, pristine beaches, exquisite hand-crafted goods and friendly people, some living far off-the-beaten path. Adjacent is Costa Rica with rainforest landscapes beloved by monkeys and macaws, waterfalls that impress from amazing heights, rich coffee plants that thrive on volcanic slopes and toucans, red-eyed frogs and two-toed sloths who await your visit in a waterfall park.
