Welcome...

This year is flying by and I can’t believe we’re into April already. Thankfully it looks like Spring might actually be here and we can start to look forward to longer days and warmer weather.

Melissa Dennis Irish Beauty Editor

I must start by saying a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to each and every one of you who supported the Irish beauty industry at last month’s Irish Beauty Show. We were overwhelmed by the number of beauty and nail professionals who came through the doors over two days, along with lecturers and students who made their way to Dublin on the Monday to see how they can

build their careers in our wonderful industry.

It was a privilege to meet so many of our readers and see their excitement at what was the largest beauty trade show ever to be held in Ireland. You’ll see a full review of the show in our May issue, and I’ll be sure to post some of the event pictures on our Facebook page too! Speaking of social media, thank you to everyone for setting Twitter alight during the show using #irishbeautyshow – we’re looking forward to featuring some of your comments in our show review.

This month I’d also like to welcome our new Deputy Editor to the team. Sam Lloyd has joined us, as we say goodbye to Donna Taylor who was part of our editorial team for five years. Sam will be working on all aspects of the magazine, including features – read her first pieces on Curing Lamps and Media Make-up inside this issue. Feel free to contact her with feature ideas, news stories and, of course, new product launches at sam@aitireland.com

Best wishes, SMUDGEPROOF
