Reliability, Consistency and Flexibility in Automated Fluid Dispensing Processes

ordson EFD’s automated desktop and in-line dispensing systems offer reliable operation with excellent repeatability for precise application of adhesives, sealants and lubricants in many assembly and manufacturing processes.

N

With specialized PC dispensing software and CAD download capabilities, EFD robot systems are easy to program and quick to set up. True three- and four-dimensional motion control allows easy programming of dots, stripes, arcs, compound arcs and patterns on different planes. These capabilities enable our customers to tackle more complex projects that require precision dispensing and placement, while increased product quality and yield.

Nordson EFD’s dispensing robots offer the flexibility of working either as a stand- alone system or a key part of an automated solution, and are easily integrated into in- line transfer systems, rotary tables and pallet assembly lines.

Among their features: rugged and reliable construction, small footprint

Possibility to get a complimentary process evaluation by experienced fluid dispensing experts

Samples can be processed upon request for customer evaluation and approval prior to purchase

Discount on espressoDAQ Series H

BM is offering discounts on its espressoDAQ series of USB measuring amplifiers to universities as part of its continued drive to support engineering training. The discounts are in line with HBM’s comprehensive university discount policy for specific models that can be as high as 35% on some products, subject to terms and conditions. The highly portable espressoDAQ USB measuring amplifiers are ideal measurement tools for training engineering students at universities or in industry. The compact amplifiers can be readily used at different laboratory stations with

individual modules directly supplied with voltage via the USB interface so that a separate power supply is not necessary. The amplifiers are based on the "plug & measure" principle enabling students to rapidly obtain measurement results. The transducers can also be set up directly on site by connection with an RJ45 connector. The modules work with carrier frequency technology and have A/D converters with a resolution of 24 Bit enabling high measured data quality. A range of measurements from either four or eight channels, depending on the module type, including individually configurable current or voltage inputs, strain gauge inputs and thermocouples can be synchronously acquired.

Latest Version of Genesis HighSpeed systems

H

BM has developed the S2M force transducer to provide high-precision measurement of compressive and tensile forces in conjunction with strain gauges. The transducer features S-type geometry that achieves extremely accurate results while ensuring that measurement errors resulting from the application of non-axial forces remains low. An accuracy class 0.02 has been achieved setting a new standard for this class of force transducers. Temperature differences also have hardly any effect on the measurement results. The S2M is available with maximum capacities ranging from 10N to 1kN. Strain gauges installed on the measuring body are made of aluminum and hermetically sealed with plastic potting to ensure IP67 degree of protection. This means that the transducer can also be used under difficult ambient conditions. The integrated mechanical protection provides an overload capacity of 1000%. The S2M is suitable for a variety of applications with typical applications in test benches and testing machines along with production monitoring and in OEM applications.

BM has released Version 6.3 of its innovative Perception measurement technology software for Genesis HighSpeed systems. The latest version contains a number of significant innovations including an integrated sensor database to facilitate rapid, comfortable and error-free setup of the measurement channels. A second improvement over older versions of the software is the ability to provide direct data storage using the iSCSI protocol. This allows measurement data to be written directly to an NAS (Network Attached Storage) and offers a high level of data security as the Genesis HighSpeed measurement system directly accesses the data storage. Perception now has three further menu languages – Portuguese, Russian and Korean – added to its existing library that comprises German, English, French, Japanese, Chinese. All languages are available with just one installation. Perception is available as both 32 and 64 bit versions.
