Avnet Abacus wins the Panasonic Green Trophy 2012
The Green Trophy competition, set up for the purpose of promoting Panasonic eco-designed solutions and to highlight its partners’ innovative action and projects, came to an end on Wednesday, 10th October with the announcement of the winners. By 2018, on the occasion of its centenary, the Panasonic group aims to become the leading group in Ecological Innovation in the Electronics Industry sector. The concept of eco-efficiency is a very clear focus for the group, which is making efforts to reduce its environmental impact by means of energy and resource management, the continual improvement of production methods, and through innovation. The Green Trophy is an operation that is completely rooted in this approach: the objective is to recognise key players in French industry. The selection criteria are, naturally, focused on business activity, the proportion of Panasonic eco-designed products, and the number of new designs created during the year.
Avnet Abacus has been awarded first prize in the Distribution Group category. This prize has been awarded to it especially for its involvement with new potential and Panasonic eco-designed solutions.
