Facility Rose Theatre performing-arts centre Opened April 2009


As well as the main auditorium, the Rose Theatre includes a drama studio, green rooms, storage for costume and props and exhibition space for artwork. Woldingham School Facility Examination centre and infor- mation-technology suite Opened November 2012


A purpose-built examinations centre that can accommodate 115 girls and includes a 22-station IT suite The school’s bursar, Niall Campbell, explains:

‘This new facility allows 115 girls to sit exams, and also provides two individual rooms for girls with special educational needs and an IT suite. When not being used as an examinations centre, the space is multi-purpose to allow functions to take place.’


Wellington College Facility Mandarin language centre Opened June 2012


Opened by the Chinese Ambassador, Liu Xiaoming, this facility (complete with a pagoda) has been designed for teaching and for hosting cultural activities. It has two Mandarin classrooms with advanced learning technology and a water garden ‘Having this superb facility has further enhanced our already strong ties to China by providing an opportunity for increased interaction,’ explains headmaster Dr Anthony Seldon.


Sherborne School Facility Music school Opened July 2010


The music school has a large recording studio, two ensemble practice rooms, two music classrooms with composition workstations and a 120-seat recital hall, plus individual practice rooms Director of music James Henderson says: ‘The new award-winning music school has attracted much architectural interest for its spacious, naturally lit and airy interior.’
