PRODUCT FINDER Discover the benefits of KNX
The KNX UK Association's new brochure, ʻDiscover the Benefits of KNXʼ, details all the advantages of joining the thriving KNX UK Association. Many KNX systems integrators, manufacturers, wholesalers and other parties are already represented by KNX UK and the Association is looking to further increase its membership over the coming months. The Association acts as a conduit for building services consultants, specifiers, installers, end users and other professionals to contact its members to discuss KNX technology, applications, training and any other aspect of KNX. For its members, KNX UK offers a wide range of services. These include workshops, training seminars, CPD programmes, networking events, exhibitions, advertising and PR, newsletters and technical literature.
Mark Green, KNX Wholesaler, IMP, says about membership: “The support, comradeship and networking opportunities are very clear. I can work with KNX manufacturers on joint projects, offering a complete solution to clients. I wholeheartedly recommend joining KNX UK.”

Casella’s new Multi Agent Monitor
Casella Monitor is the first simultaneous multi parameter monitor for dust, noise and wind speed and direction in the UK from a single manufacturer.
Expected to set the benchmark for remote boundary and on-site monitors, the Casella Multi Agent Monitor is able to transmit local alarms and send emails to site managers if dust or noise limits are exceeded. It can also be purchased with any combination of noise, dust and meteorological parameters to meet individual requirements. Designed for a wide range of applications, it is suitable for industrial boundary monitoring, as well as to ensure compliance with Section 61 of the Control of Pollution Act on construction and demolition sites.
It is also ideal for use by Local Authorities during PPG24 noise assessments during the planning stage when housing developments are proposed near to sources of noise such as rail or road.
Using proven measurement technologies and featuring real time dust and noise levels, as well as an IEC61672-1 compliant sound level meter, the Multi Agent Monitor has a heated inlet to remove moisture and a solid state wind speed and direction sensor to minimise maintenance.

approved for ECA Hamworthy Heatingʼs range of direct fired condensing water heaters; the Dorchester DR-FC Evo and the recently launched Dorchester DR-TC solar water heater, have been included on the Governmentʼs Energy Technology List (ETL), providing significant financial advantages for purchasers through the Governmentʼs Enhanced Capital Allowances (ECA) scheme. The water heaters join a number of Hamworthy products that are already listed including the award winning Fleet range of condensing boilers and the new Stratton wall hung boiler. The ECA scheme is a key part of the Governmentʼs programme to manage climate change and is designed to encourage businesses to invest in energy saving equipment. Hamworthyʼs condensing commercial water heaters, Dorchester DR-FC Evo and Dorchester DR-TC, provide highly efficient domestic hot water solutions with minimal environmental impact. The Dorchester DR-FC Evo is available in seven models and offers excellent seasonal efficiencies up to 107% net and superior control options with multiple temperature settings to enhance the energy saving condensing performance.
The innovative Dorchester DR-TC solar water heater, consisting of two models, combines solar energy with condensing gas fired capability and an intelligent control system that prioritises the use of free solar energy when available.

Wandsworth launches Penthouse range
Pioneer of the flat plate wiring accessory, The Wandsworth Group, has made sockets and switches sleeker than ever with the launch of its Penthouse range of screw-less, flush-fitting plates. Engineered to remove the need for the plastic grids or intermediary sections usually required for screw-less plates, products in the Wandsworth Penthouse range fit directly to a metal grid via a patented clip and bush system. This holds them neatly and discretely to the wall, enabling a flush-mounted and screw- less finish while providing a secure and robust mounting method that is hidden from view. Designed for use with Wandsworthʼs interchangeable, grid mounting, modular switches, sockets and interiors, the Penthouse range is currently available in a variety of high quality Brass based finishes including Polished Brass, Satin Nickel and Antique Bronze.
The company provides a bespoke manufacturing service, creating plates to customer specification and the Penthouse range will also be made available in a variety of special sized plates for custom arrangement of sockets, switches and modules to create a cohesive look and feel.
www.wandsworthgroup.com Helvar’s USB to
DALI interface Helvar has introduced a new 510 USB- DALI module which offers a convenient way for programmers to connect a PC or laptop to a DALI network. Ideal for large commercial applications with multiple DALI devices, the 510 is compatible with Helvarʼs Toolbox programming software for speedy commissioning and set up. Alongside this is the new 318 PIR absence/presence detector, a wall-mounted sensor that increases the versatility and appeal of the Helvar sensor range.
The 510 unit can be installed neatly in a single back box frame or into a double box frame with space for two further modules from the Helvar range (including the new 318 detector). The module is supplied with both white and black snap-on fascia panels to fit with existing Helvar systems and connects via a standard USB/Mini-B cable.
“With the growing popularity of DALI, these latest additions to the Digidim range will expand the appeal further,” says Peter Rowledge, UK Sales Manager at Helvar. “The 510 module is a much needed USB port for swift PC connection to a DALI network and the 318 gives us a wall-mount PIR sensor option that fills a gap in our range.”

New from Aquatech Pressmain
Aquatech Pressmain has launched conveniently small 'SB' Pressurisation units for heating and chilled water systems. The smallest footprint for this Spill Back series is just 500 x 1140mm and with a fully enclosed controls case, incorporating twin pressurisation pumps it is clean, convenient and simple to install. By using the spill and fill principal, a very low working pressure can be maintained in a
heating or chilled water system. Should pressure fall below the cold fill level, the unit will automatically restore the correct pressure.
The two pumps alternate duty after every start to ensure even wear and pulse periodically to prevent seizure. The unit is controlled by the 2020plus micro-processor for long term accuracy, reliability and full BMS interface facility.
Key features include a compact design; heating system contents to 35,000 litres at 82ºC and chiller ratings up to 9000kW at 30ºC. They are manufactured to the latest CE requirements ISO9001 quality assurance.

New range reduces
energy use Crane Fluid Systems has launched a new range of modern and compact differential pressure
control valves (DPCVs) with unique features that give cost saving benefits, reduced energy consumption and a simplified installation process, whilst still maintaining their high quality and reliability. Belonging to the FlowMaster range of commissioning valves, the DPCVs (F400 & R400) are quick and easy to install, have a long life expectancy and require little or no maintenance. Available in sizes DN15 to DN50, they are PN16 rated and have an adjustable differential pressure range of 20 – 100kPa. With cost cutting on every businessʼs agenda, the new DPCV range has been specifically designed with two great new features which do exactly that. Importantly, they also aid system analysis and simplify circuits too. The first, having threaded female ends, reduces the need for additional adapters in most circuits and allows easy connections to alternative pipework solutions when adapters are required.
The second, the addition of two bosses, is for integral test point installation, which gives greater flexibility and reduces the need for separate test points within the circuit.
