by MADISON ROBELEN Imagine lacing up your skates and looking up to see Meryl Davis and Charlie

White as your coaches. Or having Jeremy Abbott and Adam Rippon gliding over to off er you a few pointers. Or getting your picture taken with Gracie Gold. T ose were the experiences shared by dozens of skaters in Jamestown, N.Y.,

in December as U.S. Figure Skating hosted a SkateFest in conjunction with Dis- son’s “Skating & Gymnastics Spectacular.” SkateFests were held in conjunction this fall with 2012 Disson skating shows. Stars who perform in the Disson shows help to create a fun environment for

new and experienced skaters. SkateFests feature U.S. Figure Skating instructors, ice time and skates — all at no cost. T e Jamestown Skating Club helped support the eff ort in Jamestown with

instructors and volunteers. Having fun was the order of the day.

Youngsters in Jamestown , N.Y., turned out to get personal attention from several of the sport’s current stars.
