FASHION Personality to PAVEMENT

MAN, I FEEL LIKE A WOMAN....

Trousers are back big time for next summer. After a few seasons dominated by skirts and dresses we’re happy to see that trousers have earned their place back on the runway.

MY VERDICT…

Two piece suits are both sexy and universal. Any women, at any age can create this look and look amazing!

For the daring, team a two-button black skinny

suit jacket up with some cropped fi tted trousers (preferably fi nishing just above the ankle).

Finish this look off with some coloured kitten heels (yes girls, they are back with a vengeance!) A top underneath the jacket is optional, and attach a gold brooch onto one of the jacket lapels for pure praise.

Otherwise, team the suit with a loose silk blouse in a subtle pastel shade which compliments your shade of shoe, and you will own that pavement.

ROSES ARE WHITE...

White is the big colour of the season, on coats, on accessories, on trousers, shirts and dresses. For Spring/ Summer 2013 white is everything. Start the season on the right foot with a white trench coat and continue this leading trend through to high summer with lace and light fabric dresses.

VIOLETS ARE BLACK...

As an apt contrast, black also makes a comeback in Spring Summer 2013. Black suits, dresses and sleeveless coats ruled the runways, and we saw a big love for stripes, checks, and monochrome movements.

NB:

Be careful with the use of black and white stripes. Depending on your body type, this can go from complimenting to criticising your fl aws and assets.

For shorter torsos, or legs, select a piece with thin vertical stripes. T is will elongate your body, and give off the elusion of a lengthier legs, or upper half.

For the taller men and women, I envy you, but if you wish to draw eyes away from your height, simply choose a trouser or top which opts for a monochrome design other than stripes. Whether polkadot or fl oral, which are still a big buy this season, (digital print is out, but the vintage is still valued).

For those who wish to appear slightly more slender, go for a vertical stripe (this will also help those women who wish to camoufl age their larger cup size), and for those seeking added body, then horizontal stripes are your friend.
