Paint racehorses have their own color rule requirements when it comes to stakes race eligibility—these rules require at least one Regular Registry horse in the fi rst genera- tion for a Regular Registry racehorse, and a Regular Registry parent in both the fi rst and second generations for Solid Paint-Bred Registry horses. Designed to bring color back to the racetrack, these rules go into effect in 2013.
