CLUB NATIONALS ADDED TO ITU SAN DIEGO SLATE


F


ollowing a successful debut event in May with nearly 2,100 amateurs and


the world’s top elite triathletes, the ITU World Triathlon San Diego is set to return to Mission Beach on April 18-20, 2013. In addition to the same races hosted in 2012, next year’s event will serve as the 2013 USA Triathlon Club National Championships. Registration for all ITU World Triathlon


San Diego age-group races is now open at sandiego.triathlon.org. Once again, Olympic-distance (1,500m swim, 40k bike, 10k run), sprint-distance (750m swim, 20k bike, 5k run) and Olympic-distance relay events will be offered in an iconic venue adjacent to the birthplace of triathlon. An aquabike race (1.5k swim, 40k bike) has also been added to the second edition of the race weekend.
