mark.sutton@intentmedia.co.uk Silverfish strengthens sales force

 New publisher rides in for BikeBiz  Cube Bikes boosts sales team  TfL’s O’Hara joins charity Sustrans Oli Brown

 SILVERFISH Silverfish has added two in- house sales team members based in their Cornwall offices. Formally

Bristol-based, Oli Brown joins the team bringing with him many years of hands-on shop

front cycle store experience having worked in shops since leaving school. Cutting his teeth on the trails of Bristol, Brown enjoys an XC blast and may even pop up at the odd enduro in ‘13. Similarly Scott Bannister was born to work in the cycle trade growing up in the back of his parent’s shop. With cycling in his blood, Bannister knew a job in the trade was inevitable and after working in the Alps and Whistler he returned to the UK to learn the shop trade and spend time on the shop floor.

“Servicing the needs to the IBD network and customer service are very important to us here at Silverfish UK,” said Silverfish sales manager Richie Rowland. “We are due to launch a new B2B website

shortly but we want to make sure that all of our dealers get the information they need when they need it and having this much previous shop experience and cycle knowledge on the phones will make sure this happens.”

 BIKEBIZ Lisa Carter has stepped up into the role of publisher for BikeBiz. Carter has taken over complete control of the brand, driving editorial and commercial development, as well as event management and bespoke solutions for numerous partners. Carter (nee Foster) relaunched BikeBiz in the

role of managing editor back in 2005 when Intent Media acquired the title. Since then, the brand has seen the launch of the BikeBiz Awards, now in their fifth year, and the re- launch of the popular cycle trade directory BikeBiz Bible.

Kate Pring

 CUBE Cube has brought a new account manager for the Southern region of the UK on board. Kate Pring brings plenty of experience of the outdoor and bike industry to the team, as well as a solid sales background. Pring said of her new role: “I’m looking

forward to work with this great brand and lovely team.” Sales manager Bart van den Biggelaar added: “I’m pleased to introduce her to our customers in the industry. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her job.”
