Ohio, has completed an expansion of its cast zinc shot manufacturing facility. Te expansion and improve- ments focused mainly on the collec- tion and classification of cast zinc shot for packaging. Te improvements will enable


increased production while improving operator safety. Te project was financed internally along with a grant from the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation. Te equipment was designed by


Applied Engineering Solutions, Columbus, Ohio. Specialized ma- chining was performed by Crist’s Machining, Lancaster, Ohio, and installation by H.I.P. Mobile Weld- ing, Stoutsville, Ohio. Transmet manufactures cast zinc


shot for blast cleaning markets in die casting, paint removal, and automotive component remanufacturing.
