Axel Gollnick combines an entrepreneurial approach at eyelevel with outstanding skills as a coach, sparring partner and a negotiator. Axel Gollnick is also a key contact for journalists of leading German daily newspapers and trade journals for their reports on M&A topics or specific transactions (e.g., Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Börsenzeitung, Wirtschaftswoche, Going Public Magazin etc.). He is author and editor of the so-called “m&a monitor”, the twice a year published m&a market survey with involvement of German corporates which is well received in the community.

Axel Gollnick took over M&A International in 2007 in the course of a succession planning from the founder Arno Burckardt. Previously, he built up Gollnick Corporate Finance since 2006 and was Managing Partner at Doertenbach & Co. GmbH from 1999 to 2005.

Prior to that, he was Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at BHF-Bank AG for three years. From 1993 until 1996 he headed the M&A department of IKB Deutsche Industriebank and then integrated it into the BHF-Bank. Axel Gollnick started his career in 1989 at distinguished private bank M.M. Warburg & Co. in Hamburg.

Following a bank apprenticeship, Axel Gollnick studied Business Administration and Law at the University of Göttingen (Germany). He holds a degree in Business Administration (Dipl.-Kfm.) and a PhD in Law (Dr. jur.). Mr. Gollnick is Chairman of the supervisory board of NWDH Holding AG and consultative member of the Advisory Board of Kaffee Partner Holding GmbH. His honorary posts include the Chairman of the Parish Council of Kronberg Markus-Gemeinde Schönberg and Vice Chairman of the Management Board of the Kronberg Foundation.
