Commercial activities strengthened at Stagecoach


Stagecoach Group has promoted two of its staff to senior roles promoting its commercial activities. Alistair Smith, currently group IT director, has been appointed to the wider role of director of commercial and IT for Stagecoach Group. Prior to joining Stagecoach in 1999, he was head of IT for United Distillers, UK, a division of Guinness. Stephanie Rivet is now head of commercial for the group. She joins Stagecoach from Virgin Rail Group, a part-owned subsidiary of Stagecoach, where she was the director of revenue management. She joined Virgin in 1999. Martin Griffiths, Stagecoach Group finance director, said: ‘These new appointments will strengthen the group’s commercial expertise and ensure we remain at the forefront of benefitting from the growing opportunities now and in the future.’
