We know that times are hard, money is tight and parents are busier than ever. All these factors could have an effect on your fundraising efforts so to help our members PTA-UK has teamed up with the UK’s leading good cause shopping site, easyfundraising.org.uk to help your PTA raise even more money.

“Can you help at the school fair? Would you like to buy a calendar? Anyone for a raffle ticket?”

 As a dedicated PTA volunteer you are only too familiar with the above questions and the mixed responses you no doubt receive. While some parents are only too happy to help, for many it’s not always possible with busy work schedules, tight family budgets and other demands on their time.  We’re guessing the answer to this question for most parents and teachers will be a resounding yes. What you might not know is thousands of pounds a year could be raised for your PTA when your parents and supporters shop online for everyday items such as clothes and grocery items, holidays and insurance. How? Well simply by using easyfundraising.org.uk.

How does it work?

 The easyfundraising.org.uk model was developed in 2005 by owner Ian Woodroffe, who, while recovering from a serious illness, received help from a number of charities. Unable to work but with an active mind, Ian was struck by just how difficult charities and other good causes were finding it to make ends meet and set about designing ideas to help. To date easyfundraising.org.uk has helped over 35,000 good causes and nearly 500,000 supporters raise over £4million pounds. Sounds too good to be true doesn’t it… so guess you’re wondering how it works, well it really is easy. easyfundraising.org.uk works much like a loyalty scheme. When your supporters shop online, instead of earning points with certain retailers, a small cash donation is made to your PTA. With over 2,000 well known online shopping sites to choose from, ranging from fashion and travel right through to insurance, and an average donation of 5%, the funds really will quickly add up.

In fact there are loads of exclusive deals featured on the easyfundraising.org.uk site so you may even save money. As its name suggests it really is an easy way for your PTA to fundraise.

 PTA-UK has been working closely with easyfundraising.org.uk to make it even easier for your PTA to get started.
