Sean Rosenthal and Jake Gibb defeated Brad Keenan and John Mayer in straight sets by scores of 21- 16, 21-16, 21-17 to split $42,500. The tourna- ment marked the return of the AVP. “It’s like it was never gone,” Rosenthal said.

Straight USA Volleyball Junior Beach Tour championship titles for 13-year-olds Haley Hallgren and Ashley Roberts. The pair, playing out of the 692 Beach Club in Dallas, won the 14-year-old championship event in Milwau- kee in July to follow up a title run in the 12-year-old division held in Chicago in 2011. It’s the fi rst-back-to-back run in fi ve years of the prestigious tour championships.
