ewton Hall, built in 1722, was the home of the Widdringtons – an influential landowning family associated with Northumberland


as far back as the 12th century. The house was most recently owned by William Widdrington, who died in 2009. The Grade II listed property was subsequently bought by Paul Hindhaugh, managing director of Hindhaugh Homes, who wanted to restore it into a family home. The new owners knew they would be
