Divertical
Mirabilandia makes MASSIVE splash!
Transforming the skyline
The tallest rollercoaster in Italy – as well as the world’s tallest water coaster – Divertical forever changes the Mirabilandia skyline. On leaving the loading area, riders in each
10-seater boat set sail towards the 60-metre tower that dominates the entire attraction. They are then transferred to a lift platform and whisked to the top in just 12 seconds. Meanwhile the platform that held the previous boat descends back down.
After a brief moment to take in the view, the boat is released down the 45º, 80-metre-long first drop, reaching up to 110km/h as it skims the water for 20m before climbing a big hump and into the coaster section the ride. A

banked left turn, a brake section and a giant helix culminate in a drop into the final – and wettest – splashdown.
“Since it is really a family ride, the coaster section is certainly not extreme,” notes Intamin’s vice-president of sales, Vittorio Fabbri.
Erected on site by RCS, Divertical sits within an extended area of the park to the left of the main gate, sandwiched between the giant dark ride Reset and launch coaster iSpeed, added in 2008 and 2009 respectively. Together with the racing coaster Max Adventures Thai Master installed last season, these new additions contribute towards a €52 million investment by Parques Reunidos since the Spanish group acquired Mirabilandia from Casoli & Löffelhardt in 2006.
