Scottish Exhibition + Conference Centre

Intelligent partnerships, intelligent spaces

The Scottish Exhibition + Conference Centre (SECC) in Glasgow, Scotland, believes in part- nerships. It’s just one of the many reasons why the venue remains one of the most rec- ognized brands in global events, and also why it’s one of the most respected — evidenced by the number of prestigious awards it has received, including this year’s M&IT award for Best Convention Venue. The SECC hosts conferences, exhibitions,

meetings, and conventions of all sizes, from all around the world, but the center main- tains a particularly close relationship with North America’s meetings industry and PCMA. As with all partnerships, the relation- ship between the SECC and PCMA is mutually beneficial — the SECC sees its alliance with PCMA as a chance to cement its relation- ships in North America, and the SECC can

help build on PCMA’s excellent reputation in Europe and beyond. This partnership is also built on a passion for education, knowl- edge, and professional development, and this month that shared mission will be celebrated during PCMA’s inaugural Global Corporate Summit in Glasgow at the SECC. For the first time in PCMA’s history, the

summit will bring together corporate plan- ners from all over the world to discuss the major global issues facing the industry. Aligned with this initiative is the Global Lead- ership Series, produced by the SECC, PCMA, and the International Meetings Review. The content — a series of interviews with thought leaders on current trends, challenges, and opportunities in the meetings industry — will be posted on a monthly basis. As PCMA’s partner and venue of choice,

the SECC shares in the organization’s passion for education and developing best practices. Both Scotland and Glasgow have a long, rich history in innovation and professional devel- opment. Glasgow, home to the University of Glasgow, is a city of higher education as well as a hub for science, health care, renewable energy, and finance. Together through this combined passion for partnership, education, and professional development, the SECC and PCMA are committed to benefiting the global meetings industry.
