Fifteen percent expected to hold fewer small meetings in 2010 (compared to the 21 percent in 2008 who expected fewer small meetings in 2009). Two-thirds (68 percent) expected the number of small meetings to remain the same in 2010 as was the case in 2009.

Small Meetings Respondents held an average of
approximately 37 small (250 or fewer attendees) meetings in 2009,
compared to an average of 42 small meetings in 2008.
Types of Meetings
On average, respondents reported that their small meetings are fairly evenly divided between semi- nars (22 percent), committee meetings (24 percent), and board meetings (24 percent), followed by training sessions (19 percent) and other types of meetings (11 percent).
