The beach was definitely calling the 2012 Governing Council delegates when they were not in meetings, and let’s be honest, even when they were! The athlete representatives found time for both work and play during their stay in Myrtle Beach, S.C. When the Governing Council ad- journed a few hours ear- lier than anticipated on Saturday afternoon, the beaches and poolsides quickly filled with del- egates and staff. Several athletes, including Mark Ladwig, Colin McManus, Tiffany Vise and Jennifer Wester, got creative and built a sand castle. West- er even crafted a figure skate out of sand. Who knew our athletes were so multi-talented.


Jo Anne Harvey was honored by U.S. Figure Skating President Patricia St. Peter at the President’s Reception for 50 years of service as a judge.
