SHE might have settled in London but there’s something of the nomadic wanderer about Heidi, part of the Get Physical crew and the mastermind behind Jackathon, her roaming club and now record label.


Raised in Windsor, Ontario, in Canada, just a short journey away from Detroit’s thriving techno circuit, it was Richie Hawtin who inspired her adventures in electronic music. But it was when she moved to London and helped start Phonica Records, a regular stop for international DJs passing


through the city, that she began to make her name as a DJ, eventually going to live in dance music magnet Berlin before returning to the UK where she has her own show on BBC Radio One.


As well as having a glimpse into her current favourite tunes via this chart, delve further into Heidi’s DJ arsenal with ‘Heidi Presents the Jackathon – Da Remixes’, out on 26th May, which features Eats Everything, Ritchie Ahmed and Deniz Kurtel remixing Jamie Jones, Mathias Kaden and Solomun.
