year’s exhibition, with the news and views that will enhance your visit to the UK’s largest water and wastewater exhibition.
With drought orders across the South-east and East of the UK, the industry has a place in the national consciousness as it starts to plan for AMP6. A change in emphasis from capital expenditure to whole life cycle solutions means any opportunity for the water industry to come together, network, share knowledge and identify new technological approaches and ways of delivering service should be taken up. Over 300 exhibitors are expected across the whole event, which is free to access. much more (see page 11). And why stop at water? IWEX sits under the umbrella of Sustainabilitylive!, with Sustainable Business and NEMEX events also offering energy and resource efficiency expertise that transcends
sector (see page 28) and is definitely at the heart of the challenges facing the water sector over the next couple of decades. While a visit to Environmental Technology (ET) will provide a catch up on the technological solutions to a range of environmental problems. IWEX is again a hub for innovation with a full seminar session on the theme and the return of Cleantech Crucible (held in the SB conference space) should be relished. The Dragons Den style competition features groundbreaking solutions to industry problems.
A more physical challenge is the Institute of Water’s Drilling & Tapping Championship (see page 16). Who will take the title from Sembcorp Bournemouth men’s and Northern Ireland Ladies B teams?
