Catalogue Aid Ladder Safety Innovative ladder selector helps users select the right ladder for the job FRESH from ladder manufacturer Werner®, which celebrates its 90th
anniversary this year, is a new website and accompanying 40-page product catalogue describing the company’s 2012 range of fibreglass and aluminium ladders. Aimed at the trade and professional user - and introduced into the UK market
in 2011 as ‘The Trade Choice’ - the 114 strong product line up, certified to all British and European ladders standards, is already proving popular with safety conscious trades people across all sectors of industry. The website
and catalogue carry details of all Werner® stepladders and work platforms, combination ladders, loft ladders, extension ladders and accessories. The website also includes an
innovative ladder selector specifically designed to help users choose the appropriate product for the job; one to the correct standard, of the right type and to the proper height. Users are asked to consider the type of work they will be doing and the height
at which they will be working, together with such things as the method of transportation and storage. All Werner® fibreglass ladders have electrically non-conductive stiles that are
ideal for working around electricity. Non-conductive to 30,000 volts, the durable, seven-layer fibreglass stiles retain their smooth surface even after weathering. Continuing the safety theme is the Werner® Lock-In Accessory System
designed to keep trips up and down a ladder to the minimum. Lock-In buckets, caddies and paint cups expand the work surface available at the top of a Werner® ladder and provide a safe and secure repository for tools. These accessories cater for anything from power and hand tools to paint sprayers and paint.

Podium – Zarges Telepod The Zarges Telepod is the worlds’ first telescopic mobile enclosed podium, providing a uniquely light and portable solution for working at height. The telescopic mechanism allows three adjustable platform height options
from approximately 0.50cms - 0.75cms – 1.0 meters. The spacious platform includes two lockable gates allowing access from both sides, thus ensuring 360° fall protection for the user. In addition extending stabilisers increase the footprint during use limiting the likelihood of the podium toppling. The Zarges Telepod folds down compactly for storage and transportation; it
can even fit in the back of an estate car or van. Whilst folded the Zarges Telepod has been designed to include transport wheels and an extending handrail allowing it to be ‘wheeled’ along like hand luggage. In addition the lightweight design and carry strap also allow the Zarges Telepod to be lifted where necessary; for example up or down stairs. The Zarges Telepod combines the benefits of its light and portable design with
the safety inherent with a large platform and guardrails. Users can be working at height (from van to in situ) in less than two minutes. The Zarges Telepod will be available from May and is expected to generate keen interest among businesses working at height.
