Hire Update PLANTWORX 2013 –

Let the Countdown begin! It’s almost unbelievable that it was well over a year ago (January 2011) that the CEA (Construction Equipment Association) announced its plans to host PLANTWORX, a new biennial working plant show, which will take place at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire 14th – 16th May 2013. The show is now over the 50% sold mark and has more than 70 exhibitors committed to the inaugural exhibition. The demonstration plots have been snapped up too, with almost 80% sold in the ‘Dig Zone’ and 60% sold in the ‘No Dig Zone’. Companies that have already signed on the dotted line and have

committed to exhibit at the 2013 PLANTWORX event, range from key OEM’s including JCB, Finning UK, New Holland, Volvo Construction Equipment and Terex, who will be exhibiting and demonstrating in the Dig Zone. Merlo, Manitou and Bomag, who have secured stand space in the No Dig Zone, to specialist suppliers including Ashtree Glass, Spring Masters and Webtec, who have taken their place in the undercover Pavilion. Spillard Safety Systems, Probst Handling Equipment and Geoff Agg Engineering have all booked terrace stands, located in the Dig Zone.". It’s PLANTWORX aim to provide the exhibitor whether small,

medium or large the perfect platform to showcase their products to the widest possible audience ‘a one stop shop where the visitor can purchase anything from a small hand tool, replacement parts, business software, right up to a large excavator, dumper or crane. If buying new plant and equipment is in your remit, make sure you

include PLANTWORX in your diary for next year! Don’t forget you can keep up date with news as it happens on the PLANTWORX web site at www.plantworx.co.uk or follow the show on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook.

Merlin’s Magical Transformation British-based authors of Merlin Business Software, Chatsworth Computers Limited, are going through an exciting transformation on 1st May 2012. To coincide with the start of their new Financial Year, Chatsworth are

undergoing a total branding transformation and will be renamed Merlin Business Software Limited. Merlin’s Chairman, Andrew Wilson commented “…the opportunity to rebrand

under a single Merlin identity has been one that we have been considering for some time and, given the growth of our business and customer-base, we have decided the time was right to go forward in to new and exciting markets under a common brand name.” Adding to this, Managing Director, Clive Mallender explained that “.. whilst we

will be retaining the Chatsworth identity at Group level, it will be sad to be moving away from the Chatsworth name directly – a name that is synonymous with businesses in Chesterfield, which itself has close ties to Chatsworth House in Derbyshire, home to the Duke & Duchess of Devonshire. However, as we have worked extremely hard with our customers to make Merlin Business Software the success it has become, it made perfect sense to create a new and striking brand that would help promote the Merlin Trademark to a growing and international customer base. To use a few boxing terms, the quality of features in Merlin has grown over the years to the point where Merlin is ‘punching above its weight’ and regularly sees ‘big-ticket’ solutions knocked-out in the opening rounds.” Merlin’s Marketing Team, headed by Sales & Marketing Director, Ashley Jones

noted “…having spent over 17 years establishing Merlin as a brand it made sense to focus both product and company identities together to form a single, recognisable and outstanding brand.”
