This year’s disabled teachers’ conference is on 30 June and 1 July at NUT HQ in London.

Speaking up

This year’s National Education Conference will be held at Stoke Rochford Hall, the Union’s training centre, near Grantham, Lincolnshire, from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 July.

The conference provides the chance for members to discuss professional issues with colleagues across England and Wales. This year’s theme is Speak Up for Schools, and delegates will get a chance to explore the Government’s education initiatives.

Speakers include Melissa Benn, author and education campaigner, who was awarded this year’s Fred and Anne Jarvis award in acknowledgement of her tireless campaigning for comprehensive education. She will be accepting her award at the NEC.
