Memorial Fund Celebrates Six Years Partnership with Harley-Davidson

Company has been supplying motorcycles to America’s law enforcement agencies. Harley-Davidson has been a loyal partner of the Memorial Fund donating motorcycles to help raise funds for the fi rst-ever National Law Enforcement Museum,” said Steve St. Thomas, Director of Police and Fleet Sales at Harley-Davidson headquarters in Milwaukee, WI. “The Memorial Fund is honored to have Harley-Davidson
as a Museum partner” stated Craig Floyd, Chairman & CEO of the Memorial Fund. “Each year the raffl e gets bigger and better than the last. Edition Motorcycle. As in years past, individuals or groups interested in par-
ticipating in the raffl e may call the National Law Enforcement Offi cers Memorial Fund’s offi ces or stop by the Visitors Center at the corner of 7th and D Streets NW, Washington, D.C. The proceeds from ticket sales will help build the National Law Enforcement Museum, currently under construction in Washington, DC. The law enforcement community values the relationship
between Harley-Davidson and the Memorial Fund. The fi rst six motorcycles donated by Harley-Davidson have a combined retail value of over $120,000, and have raised over $269,000 for the Museum Campaign. Last year’s raffl e winner was Doug Caldwell of West Monroe,
Louisiana. Doug is a close personal friend of West Monroe’s Police Chief Chris Elg who had forwarded Doug an e-mail promoting the raffl e. Doug said he was honored to receive the motorcycle and rides it proudly in honor of his late grandfather

a Police Chief from New Hampshire, a U.S. Border Patrol agent from California who had been on special assignment to Washington, DC, a Florida woman who had been riding on the back of her husband’s Harley-Davidson®
motorcycle
for two decades, and a corrections lieutenant from New Jersey who recently retired and now spends much of this time touring New England on his new motorcycle. Authorized by Congress in the year 2000, the National
Law Enforcement Museum (
www.LawEnforcementMuseum. org) is an architecturally-inspiring, 55,000 square foot, mostly underground museum that will be located adjacent to the National Law Enforcement Offi cers Memorial in downtown Washington, DC. The Museum will tell the story of American law enforcement through high-tech, interactive exhibits, collections, research and education. Groundbreak- ing marked the start of construction on the Museum which has a projected opening in 2014. The privately funded Museum has launched an $80
million capital campaign, with more than $56 million raised to date. Former Presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton serve as co-chairs of the Museum’s National Honorary Campaign Committee, which also includes seven former Attorneys General of the United States, as well as other former government offi cials and celebrities.
