MOBILE ZIPLINE BY SPECTRUM SPORTS This new attraction is the first commercially available portable zip line. Access is via a 0.75m-wide (30-inch) staircase and takes participants to a height of 8.3m (28ft). At the top, riders enter the launch barrel, which protects them from fall exposure until they are safely connected to the zip line. When ready to go, the operator opens a rotating safety gate and the rider is then able to take the ‘leap of faith.’
At the opposite end, patent pending Auto-Retract brake technology slows the last part of the ride in a
smooth, carefully controlled action. This replaces the old method of stopping zip line riders by hand and solves one of the most potentially dangerous aspects of any zip line, the stop, whilst also returning the trolley to the top.
Set up of the attraction is easy. A 12 volt hydraulic lift system stands the tower in place at the touch of a button, the zip lines are secured and an inflatable wall is positioned at the lower end. Total set-up time is half an hour. “The new Mobile Zip Line has taken the events
and attractions industry by storm,” boasts Phil Pickersgill of Innovative Leisure, which is distributing the product exclusively in Europe. “I know it’s going to be a hugely popular attraction at venues and events of all kinds and the first one supplied by ourselves will be in operation in the UK in March.”

This new machine improves the speed and reliability of cash counting – both notes and coins – for retail and entertainment businesses. The battery-powered device uses a count-by-weight scale to perform counting tasks quickly and accurately, removing the element of human error and need for recounts. Totals and cashier identification data for up to 50 registers are stored in its memory, and the attached printer can print a time and date stamped receipt for increased employee accountability.
The scale’s rechargeable batteries operate for 12 hours on a single overnight charge. An integrated USB port allows easy upload of counted totals to a PC spreadsheet.
