Teaching old (and young) dogs new tricks

Whether hunting, on forest trails, in undergrowth or in open countryside, dogs and humans can now stay in touch with the new tw700 from Takwak. At the IWA in Nuremburg in March, Takwak and Geodog presented a combination of an outdoor navigation device and GPS positioning collar for dogs. The dog's collar emits a signal that can be tracked on the display of the tw700, ensuring that owners are always in the picture about the location of their four-legged companion. They can also define areas where their dog is allowed to go and where not, and are informed by text message of their animal's position. This device therefore makes it simpler for hunters and tracker dog teams to work outside with their animals.

Even without their dog, the tw700 is a suitable companion for activities where orientation and communication are involved. The waterproof and dustproof multifunctional device contains outdoor navigation functions, an Android-based smartphone, walkie-talkie and a group navigation function in a single device. In addition to use by outdoor enthusiasts exploring the countryside alone or in groups, the tw700 complements professionals, ensuring that field service staff, tradespeople or service providers are able to communicate with each other and their head office and enabling them to access data in many different formats.

Xtreme Series Socks by Target Dry The Xtreme series

uses Cocona technology that uses the waste product of a coconut shell to produce an active carbon when blended into the yarn

(polyester). By adding Cocona technology, the performance of the fibre is increased as it accelerates evaporation and pulls moisture across the

microporous particles in the yarn. This makes the sock breathable and fast wicking.

Target Dry has two styles within their Xtreme Series range: The Walk Lite: A lightweight three season sock for adventure travel, fell running, hiking and rambling.

The Hike Mid: An all season sock more suitable for hiking, trekking and backpacking.

No sweat training with Helly Hansen

Less is more

The Dynafit Feline Superlight is designed to be a robust, yet light shoe, suitable for running in mountainous terrain, trail running or sky running.

The idea behind the shoe was to provide the performance required for the most difficult alpine races. The shoe includes Vibram technology developed for the sole and midsole. The sole provides the stability and cushioning that until now, only a heavier shoe could offer. This makes the shoes suitable for demanding ultra-races despite its light 285

gram weight.

The Helly Hansen Pace Series features clean, Scandinavian designs with tank tops, singlets, t-shirts, jerseys, shorts and tights for men and women.

All kit in the range is made with HH Cool – Helly Hansen’s advanced fabric for high-intensity workouts. The fabric features two components – Helly Hansen’s LIFA Stay Dry Technology on the inside that is 40% lighter and 60% drier than

alternative fabrics; and a Polyester exterior that wicks away moisture to keep the skin cool.
