Increasing the spectrum, coverage and efficiency of laboratory testing in the region
National Reference Laboratory is brought to you by Mubadala Healthcare in partnership with Laboratory Corporation of America (LabCorp), one of the world’s largest and most experienced clinical laboratory operators. NRL is committed to driving improvement in the quality standards of medical diagnostic testing in the region by investing in state-of-the-art technologies and acting as a trusted resource for healthcare providers and patients.
The Abu Dhabi laboratory, opened in 2011, currently offers 20,000 square feet of diagnostic testing facilities in its first phase. Combined with the 12,000 square foot Dubai laboratory located at the Nucleotide Complex of Dubai Biotechnology and Research Park (Dubiotech), NRL is increasing capacity for testing carried out locally, reducing the need for international send outs and vastly improving turnaround times.
Together with LabCorp’s capabilities, NRL offers sophisticated and specialized tests previously unseen in the local market, providing a test menu of more than 4,000 tests-one of the largest in the region. This includes a comprehensive range of services from basic blood counts and cholesterol tests to more complex diagnoses of genetic conditions, cancers and other rare diseases.
