Year End Meeting • Store of the Year

TUESDAY 11.15.11 MUST PRESENT INVITATION FOR ADMITTANCE

8AM-9:30AM - SPA TOWER - CHAIRMAN’S SUITE 33606

Fabulous Las Vegas welcomed Sheetz with bright lights and open arms, making our “All In” theme come to life for the 2011 Year End meeting. More than 600 store- and non-store-level managers attended the three-day event to learn financial results, corporate initiative updates and our outlook for 2012. A long-standing tradition at Sheetz, the Year End meeting allows us

the opportunity to share important business updates and expectations with our company’s leaders to help them channel their team’s focus for the upcoming year. Attendees heard from President and CEO Stan Sheetz and others from the Executive Committee and Planning Team during our general session. They gathered to celebrate our stores’ and districts’ accom- plishments at our annual Operational Excellence Awards ceremony. Plus, they enjoyed some free time to relax, play the tables and sightsee. Our managers are responsible for carrying back the messages that were

shared with them to rally their employees for another successful year. As a company, we are All In this together, working to deliver Total Customer Focus and hospitality to every single customer, every single day. And every single employee at store level, the corporate office, distribution center and Sheetz Bros. Kitchen contributes to that success. So, congratulations on the most successful year in company history, everyone!

Denise Booher Store #429, Triadelphia, WV

Building on inspiration they got from reading The Five Dysfunctions of a Team as a group, Denise Booher and her management team at Store #429, Triadelphia, WV, created a short but powerful list of goals for their store. The first was to earn store of the year honors

for the district. The second was to improve their QA scores. The third was to have well-trained employees. To tackle these goals, Denise split her entire

store into three teams, one for each goal. Each team was led by two managers and rounded out with a random selection of employees to ensure a mix of shifts and tenure. At each store meeting, teams reported new solutions they’d created to improve their areas of responsibility. Clearly, Denise’s team not only met their

goals, but also exceeded them! The two-year-old store, located near a shopping center, brought home the 2011 Store of the Year award. “My employees jumped on it,” Denise said.

“They did a fabulous job and they deserve all the recognition.”
