Passing the torch
New Generation of Operational Leadership
For nearly 30 years, we were lucky enough at Sheetz to have Dan McMahon on our team. This January, we said farewell to Dan as he retired to start the next chapter in his life. Dan was a walking example of Total Customer Focus (TCF). Even back in the day when he worked as a third-
shift salesperson at Store #37 in Gallitzen, PA, and then as a store manager, district manager and during his years as our Executive Vice President of Operations, Dan knew the importance and meaning of TCF. He was an excellent role model, a strong leader and a wonderful friend, whom we will all miss. We wish Dan all the best during his retirement! And we thank his lovely family for sharing Dan with us
for all those years! While we are sorry to see Dan leave, we are excited to announce the promotion of Travis Sheetz to the
position of Executive Vice President of Operations! Travis started working at Sheetz in the Real Estate department as a site selector. He was promoted to
Director of Real Estate and held that position for three years before moving to the Marketing department as the Director of Sales. In 2003, Travis took the position of Vice President of Operations. Travis celebrated his 20th anniversary with the company last year. He and his wife Erica have four beautiful
kids: Max (14), Jenna (11), Ava (7) and Ella (4). Dan says that after working with Travis for seven years, he can certainly attest to the fact that Travis is an all-around good guy and a great family man. “I’ve also gotten to know Travis as a driven, competitive, intelligent and principled executive,” Dan said.
“I’m excited both about this opportunity for Travis and the company. Travis will bring new thinking and new ideas while maintaining the core principals of developing a great culture in every store and throughout the company.” Travis is the son of late Joe M. Sheetz; nephew of Bob, Steve and Louie; first cousin to Stan and Ryan; second
cousin to Adam; and brother of Joe S. and Ashley. He’s part of the next generation of Sheetz family members to join the Executive Committee, and we have confidence that he will lead our operations team to new heights!
Congratulations, Travis!
