THE CANADIAN VIA Rail operates a comprehensive network of routes across the country but the best known among tourists is probably The Canadian. This legendary journey travels across


two-thirds of the country in four days between Toronto and Vancouver, stopping along the way in Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton and Jasper. It passes through the forests of Ontario, vast prairie lands and the


breathtaking Rockies, ensuring spectacular views at all times. The train has undergone a $22million


makeover in the last two years, which includes new sleeper cars and dining menus. “The Canadian offers cosy bedrooms, dome cars, lounges and a full-service restaurant car,” said a VIA Rail spokesperson.
