ONTARIO Tourism UK is raising the province’s profile as a leading outdoor adventure destination through a partnership with premier outdoor clothing brand, Berghaus. In a nationwide, multi-channel
marketing campaign launched in February, the province launched a consumer competition giving away an adventure trip-of-a-lifetime and £1000 worth of Berghaus kit. The campaign saw a giant-sized image of the breathtaking Terrace Bay, in Thunder Bay, Northern Ontario (below), displayed in Berghaus flagship stores.
And the winners are...
WINNERS OF the Canadian Tourism Commission's 2011 British Annual Canada Travel Awards were Best Tour Operator: 1st Class Holidays, with runners-up: Prestige Holidays and Travel2. Best ski tour operator was: Inghams with runners-up: Crystal Ski and Ski Independence. The Explorer Award (for best 2011 Canada marketing campaign, judged by CTC): Tailor Made Travel - with runners-up: Experience Holidays and Bridge & Wickers.
