Are Regatta paving the way for retailers?

Regatta has released a series of trail running products for the Spring/Summer 2012 season. Why is the brand worth considering for retailers?

O

utdoor clothing and footwear brand Regatta has big plans for

Spring/Summer 2012 with the launch

of new footwear styles across their ranges. Covering everything from sandals to hiking boots and shoes, Regatta is also adding two new trail running shoe products to their ranges.

The new styles of trail products for Regatta are -

Agility X-LT for men and women and Kinetik X-LT for men. The Agility X-LT has a water resistant printed soft-shell upper with an Isotex waterproof and breathable bootie liner and and has a “close to the foot” fit for comfort. The X-LT sole technology shaves weight off the shoe and the lightweight carbon rubber outsole is

hardwearing and offers suitable grip, thanks to the multi

directional cleat pattern. The Lady Agility X-LT comes in feminine

colourways – granite/vivid viola and black/lemon sorbet. The Kinetik X-LT is a

resistant. It is designed to dry fast even if you get it wet.

For Regatta PR and Marketing Manager Gill Russell, Regatta is worth considering for retailers due to the ‘low risk’ nature of the brand. “In tough economic times which we

are still witnessing, consumers go to the tried and

tested brands who offer value for

money. We pride

ourselves on having 66% brand recognition and our products offer value for money compared to many other brands on the market.”

Regatta is undoubtedly one of the more well-known outdoor brands in the UK. The brand now exports to over 40 countries worldwide and have dedicated sales offices in France, Belgium, Ireland, Germany, Holland, Spain, Poland, Italy, Finland, Czech Republic and Israel. Along with this strong brand

recognition, Regatta also offers a number of value-added services which are worth bearing in mind for potential retailer stockists.

“We offer products which are cheap and affordable for customers but also crucially offer

decent margin points” says Russell. “Alongside our margins, we provide a stock holding facility so retailers don’t get stuck with excess stock and we employ a number of specialist training reps to help educate

clothing and footwear products.” Exciting times are in store for Regatta as Autumn/Winter 2012 sees the release of their biggest ever winter jacket range. The brand has released a series of 3-in-1 jackets namely the All Elements, Alaina, Caspian and Hola jackets. The jackets combine an Isotex outer and a

Microwarmth inner to create a jacket designed to be suitable in any outdoor conditions.

“We pride ourselves on our good reputation for providing quality clothing and footwear and our range of products

including our RWF218-758 Agility new trail running trainers

will be no different” add Gill Russell. “Our well- known brand identity with affordable pricing points will continue to be a winner for both retailers and customers.”
